Our church is a place for members and surrounding communities to come together and worship our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Our vision for Mt. Calvary is for us to be used by the Holy Spirit to promote and support a movement among God's people to be active participants in His mission to seek and to save souls that are lost. May the Lord direct your lives as you show God's love and Christ's endurance.

COVID-19 Updates
Still following recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention and the Simmon Ridge Samaritan Baptist Association, in an effort to take precautions concerning your health and safety, all services will not resume until further notice.
Thank you for being cooperative during this trying time. I pray that you all have been blessed by the sermons each week online. It's a blessing to still be able to bring God's word and encourage you during this pandemic. I pray for the time when we can all assemble back within the walls of Sweet Calvary. I pray you all are doing well and staying safe. Also, please continue to send your tithes and offerings. We're grateful to members who have been doing this.
The world has suddenly become an unusual, isolating place, but these social distancing and health precautions are here to stop the spread of this infectious disease. We will continue to update you through social media and through newsletters.
I am reminded of this blessing from Paul’s letter to the Philippians: “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:4-7)
May the peace of God dwell in your homes and communities in the weeks ahead. Stay home. Stay safe. Wash your hands. Continue social distancing. Stay prayed up. Be blessed. See you online.
Yours in Christ,
Rev. Lewis Burt, Pastor
